2. STEMentality

A Mental Health Awareness Campaign for CSIS Students

The World Health Organization (WHO) stated in their constitution that “health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” With this statement, we can come up with the idea that every people must take care of their physical and mental health to attain good health. However, many people are just interested in their physical health. With this in mind, we came up with the topic of mental health awareness. This social campaign aims to inform people about the importance of mental health and how everyone should take care of it.
More so, given that mental health issues have been pervasive nowadays, this campaign primarily seeks everyone's interest in order for them to take an immediate action and eventually combat the constant spread of this issue. This campaign consists of the definition of mental health, how science views it, how each one of us could take care of it, along with the stigmas, and how to break it.

5. NoToPAREX

Stand against the construction of Pasig River Expressway.

Pasig River Expressway (PAREX) is a proposed megaproject in Metro Manila that includes building a six-lane skyway over Pasig River. Over the past few months; architects, urban planners, and environmentalists alike have united in disapproving the project due to how damaging, ineffective, inefficient, and unprepossessing it is to our environment and city. It is often and crucially cited how this expressway will kill the ecosystem in Pasig River; how it will induce more people to buy cars, hence heavier traffic; how it will make the land value in Metro Manila less; as well as how it will devastate the view of numerous heritage sites in the city. Currently, PAREX is approved for construction by the government, and progress in building it will skyrocket soon enough without legal action.

7. ENGINEERING:

The Most Male-dominated Field in STEM

The field of engineering, or the course "Engineering," is known for being dominated by men, with only a few women enrolling. Women engineers make up only about a third of the workforce in some countries. Engineering is a field that is open to both men and women. It is the use of science and mathematics to solve problems. Most women are apprehensive about taking an engineering course because there are few women and most of the students are men. Engineering helps to train students' skills and to have an impact on the community. This field allows young people to improve their knowledge of science and math and how to apply it in their daily lives.

The rate of development in numerous areas has been phenomenal, and it is anticipated to continue in the coming years. Because AI is still in its early stages, it will see widespread acceptance and a variety of novel applications, and some AI interfaces will simply predict what we need and when we need it without people asking. Others will take on our complete responsibilities in the meantime.

Increasing Vaccine Trust Through Community Involvement

Welcome to We Will End This Together (WWETT) Increasing Vaccine Trust Through Community Involvement, our very own passion project filled with informative content. Our main goal is to increase people's trust in COVID vaccinations. Since according to South Florida St. Petersburg Campus, due to misinformation and misconceptions citizens who are willing to take the vaccinations are declining. According to a Harvard immunologist, current vaccines appear to be effective enough to end the pandemic, despite growing concerns that more infectious COVID-19 variants would significantly reduce the effectiveness of preventative treatments and set the country back in its fight against the disease.

10. Reduce Your Carbon Footprint

Carbon Footprint is the total amount of carbon dioxide that is caused by an individual or organization. The amount of carbon footprint a person causes has a possibility of harming the planet. This topic has been brought up since the weather has been more extreme and frequent, which explains various damages that can be seen throughout the world.

Through this campaign, we shall help in teaching people by introducing ways on how to reduce or limit the amount of carbon dioxide that they have caused.
